Key information documents are intended to give agency workers pay related facts such as how fees and deductions will affect their take-home pay, along with other details about their engagement, prior to agreeing terms. Regulation 13A of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (the ‘Conduct Regulations’) introduces the requirement to provide a Key Information Document (KID) for agency workers. This is intended to improve transparency of information for agency workers, particularly around pay.

Spirehouse Recruitment has multiple ways of paying an agency worker and we are providing you with the Key Information Documents corresponding to all the payment methods that are available to you via us.

Our KIDs include a representative example statement to demonstrate how the listed deductions will be made to a rate of pay. These figures are an estimate and do not reflect the specific rate of pay that will be received by you; they do however demonstrate a realistic reflection of how deductions will be made.

Personal Services Company (Limited)

We may engage you via your Personal Services Company, in which case the engagement is then regulated by IR35 rules. Please see the relevant link to your engagement:

PSC outside IR35

Note, you may not be able to operate outside IR35 if your assignment is deemed to fall outside of this ruling.

Umbrella Companies

We may engage you via one of our approved, FCSA Accredited, umbrella service providers. If you prefer to use an umbrella company that has not been approved by Spirehouse Recruitment, please inform one of our team, so that a relevant Key Information Document can be generated and compliance checks on the umbrella company can be conducted.
