What we do

We frequently deal with professional contractors and locums for whom we secure repeat work, and with hiring organisations that adopt a fluid workforce by utilising the services of professional interims. 

Contracting is when companies hire individuals for a specific project which requires a specific skill-set, rather than hiring them as full-time employees. This can be for a defined period such as 6 or 12 months, or on an on-going basis subject to review and completion of the project. This is common place in many sectors including legal, marketing, communications and human resources.

Much akin to temporary recruitment, to successfully assist individuals and organisations in this space, it requires specialist knowledge, systems and processes; a field with which we possess over 20 years' experience.

As a contractor, you will have more control to decide which projects you work on, your rate of pay and when you wish to work. Typically you will operate as a self-employed individual or through a limited company, and often utilise the services of an Accountant or umbrella company to pay yourself. ​As with all of our recruitment services, we offer a comprehensive service as standard meaning all of our interim and locum candidates are vetted as follows:

  • Candidate sourcing and briefing

  • Initial assessment interviews

  • Tailored briefing based on your requirements

  • Background checks to include Right to Work and digital passport verification

  • Referencing 

  • Qualification checks

  • DBS check (if applicable)

  • Shortlist provided to and discussed with hiring manager(s)
