Salary: £22,994 to £24,162 per annum
The Role
Our client, a Birmingham based College, are seeking a Human Resources Administrator to join on a fixed-term contract until July 2026.
The college is home to thousands of enthusiastic students and talented staff, across several campuses in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy team, during a period of system change and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle (from onboarding onwards).
- Manage the HR inbox and respond to routine queries.
- Prepare HR documentation, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support the transition from Dintra to iTrent HR system, including data cleansing and preparation.
- Assist with day-to-day HR processes while permanent staff focus on project work.
- Support with recruitment administration, contracts, and pre-employment checks.
- General office administration and coordination to support the wider HR function.
About You
- Previous experience working in an HR administrative role is essential.
- Strong IT and database skills (iTrent experience highly desirable).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to work as part of a team.
- Experience in education is not required, though background in HR or administrative support within busy environments (e.g. hospitality, customer service, public sector) is welcomed.
Working Arrangements
Initially expected to be on-site for training and induction.
Hybrid working available once fully trained and confident in the role (typically 2–3 days per week on-site).
