Location: Cambridgeshire - Hybrid / Flexible working
Contract: 6 month contract
Rate: £20 - £25 p/h umbrella
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide expert HR advice and support to managers across a range of employment matters. Working in a business partnering model, you will coach and guide managers through employee relations issues, organisational change, and policy application, helping them make confident, risk-based decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear HR advice on employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, ill health, and redundancy
- Support and coach managers through complex casework and change programmes, including restructures and TUPE
- Advise on employment law, policy, and risk, offering practical options for decision-making
- Work with trade unions to maintain positive employee relations
- Analyse HR data to identify trends and support informed management decisions
- Contrubute to HR projects, policy development, and training delivery
- Support job evaluation and pay and reward processes
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all HR activity
About You
You will have:
- Experience in a generalist HR advisory role
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
- Confidence managing employee relations cases and supporting organisational change
- Ability to influence and coach managers effectively
- Strong communication, organisation, and analytical skills
- Experience working with HR data and systems
Qualifications
- A Level or equivalent (essential)
- CIPD qualification or degree (desirable)
